RE: Lance Replacement lens?

Take the light off and see if the are 3 holes with wires or one . If 1 it’s probably original , if 3 it probably originally had individual lights .

RE: VIDEO: 2000 F-250 Spare Tire Hoist Replacement

The spare tire winches are very easy to rebuild. I had to cut the aircraft cable with a dremel and cut off wheel to remove the tire as the spare would not lower. Once the cable becomes frayed and bird nested inside the winch housing it is almost impossible to lower and raise. I Drilled out all of the factory rivets, separated the halves, removed old cable, greased, and spooled with new winch cable by replacing the rivets with machine bolts and locknuts. Works better than new. Thanks GAR2 , that’s the kind of info this forum was founded on. Now it more about who has the latest and greatest .

RE: HELP PLEASE... Hitch and extension ?

Pray tell , what in the world are “Firestone rated tires”,rated for what ? BTW the carrying capacity of the tire is printed on the side of the tire .

RE: HELP PLEASE... Hitch and extension ?

Airbags do nothing for weight distribution , they just raise the suspension on the rear axle . Think of the rear axle as a fulcrum , everything in front of it adds weight to the front axle , everything in back of it subtracts weight from the front axle .

RE: HELP PLEASE... Hitch and extension ?

You have a short bed truck with a long bed camper , most likely taking weight off the front axle . Then in addition your putting a 3 ft extension and a 600 lb tongue weight off the back . It’s time to hit the scales , truck axle weights , truck and camper axle weight and if possible, truck camper and trailer axle weights . I suspect you are going to be too light on the front axle and overloaded on rear tires . A WDH will help , maybe enough maybe not . My humble opinion is there is more than one problem to solve .

RE: Large Truck Campers: how practical?

So after all is said and done with mine is better than yours , the question still remains , what does RobertRyan actually own and use to camp in the outback ?

RE: Large Truck Campers: how practical?

There is also a huge difference in comparing an earth roamed with a domestic pickup with a TC . One major difference being cost .

RE: Wolf Creek 840 Goes Lithium

I must be reading it wrong but the specs on that alto converter seem to say that the LA battery is charging at 14.4 and the lid pro is charging at 14.6 volts . That seems backward .

RE: Turnbuckle advice

The earlier bumper rear mount depended on the flex of the bumper to act as a spring . If your rear mount is frame mounted it should have a spring .

RE: Fridge Issues

The burner should stay lit until the fridge is cold , try cleaning off the burner and relight it
